We are seeking a professional with strong technical expertise in CMS administration and optimization, capable of working autonomously and applying sound technical judgment in the management of corporate websites.
The CMS Technical Specialist (Mid-Level) will be responsible for the implementation, advanced configuration, optimization, and technical support of websites, ensuring stability, performance, basic security, and compliance with technical SEO best practices.
This role involves frequent interaction with corporate clients; therefore, strong service orientation, professional communication skills, and the ability to represent the company in technical follow-up and validation meetings are essential.
The selected candidate will translate functional requirements into technical solutions within the CMS environment and implement improvements in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when required. The ability to explain technical concepts clearly, professionally, and in a structured manner to non-technical audiences is required.
This position does not involve team leadership or enterprise architecture design but does require independent technical decision-making within the scope of responsibility.
Education (Mandatory):
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Costa Rican nationality.
Experience:
3 to 6 years of experience in technical CMS administration and corporate website management.
Proven experience with CMS platforms such as:
Umbraco (preferred)
WordPress
Drupal, Joomla, or other enterprise CMS platforms
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
HTML (advanced semantic structure)
CSS (responsive styling and template customization)
JavaScript (functional modifications and script integrations)
Experience in:
Advanced template configuration and theme customization
Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of plugins or modules
Performance optimization (caching, compression, resource optimization)
Technical SEO (meta tags, heading structure, basic structured data, sitemap, robots.txt)
Integration with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console
Basic database management related to CMS platforms (MySQL or similar)
Ability to:
Analyze errors using browser developer tools
Identify loading, script, or integration issues
Coordinate deployments in staging and production environments
Document technical configurations and best practices
Additional experience valued in:
Web projects for corporate clients or digital agencies
Direct client interaction for technical requirement gathering
Participation in follow-up meetings or technical presentations
Implementation of measurable SEO improvements
Website migrations or CMS version upgrades
Managing multisite environments

Resolve CMS-related technical issues
Maintain direct and ongoing communication with clients for requirement gathering, validation, and follow-up
Provide technical guidance in client meetings, explaining solutions, limitations, and improvement proposals
Manage technical requests by prioritizing impact, urgency, and defined scope
Participate in functional testing prior to production releases
Document technical changes and maintain basic version control when applicable
Propose technical improvements focused on performance, user experience, and organic positioning
